Sportsbook Rules

Scope and Interpretation

These sportsbook rules govern all wagers placed with Spinz via its betting platform. They apply to every customer unless a market-specific term or promotion provides an explicit exception. The terms are interpreted in accordance with the licensing and applicable law governing Spinz, and any reference to an official source means the governing body or competition’s final and publicly published result or decision at or after the moment of settlement.

Key Terms

  • Market: a defined betting proposition offered on a sporting event or non-sporting event, including outcome bets, handicaps, unders/overs, and special propositions.
  • Bet: a single wager or a combination/accumulator of multiple selections placed in a single instruction.
  • Stake: the amount wagered on a bet or on each element of a system bet.
  • Payout/Return: the amount returned to the customer if the bet is successful, calculated as the stake multiplied by the applicable odds, subject to any applicable limits and adjustments.
  • Void: a market or bet is cancelled and the stake is returned where the outcome cannot be verified, is invalid, or is settled differently from the published terms.
  • Official Result: the final result as determined by the relevant competition authorities or governing rules, including any authorised post‑event decisions or weigh-ins.

Accounts, Balances and Bonuses

  • Account balance consists of a Cash Balance and, where applicable, a Bonus Balance. Wagering requirements may apply to Bonus Balance as published in the Bonus Policy. Winnings from Bonus Balance may be restricted to withdrawal only after satisfying those requirements.
  • Deposits and withdrawals follow the payment methods and verification steps required by Spinz. Withdrawals are subject to anti‑money‑laundering checks and standard verification processes.
  • Promotions, bonuses, and free bets are governed by the terms published for each offer. If a promotion cannot be claimed or used as intended, Spinz reserves the right to adjust, suspend, or withdraw the offer.
  • Cookies, privacy and data handling are governed by Spinz’s Privacy and Cookies Policy. By continuing to use the service, the customer consents to such processing in accordance with that policy.

Bet Types and Construction

  • Single bets: A wager on the outcome of a single event. The stake is returned with the product of the stake and the odds if successful.
  • Combination/Accumulator bets: A bet that combines two or more selections. The total stake is multiplied by the odds of all individual selections. All selections must win for the bet to be settled as a win. Example: if selections A, B and C have odds 2.0, 1.8 and 1.5 respectively, a £1 stake yields £1 × 2.0 × 1.8 × 1.5 = £5.40 if all three selections win.
  • System bets: A system bet presents a range of smaller combined bets drawn from the selections. An entire system can win even if not all legs are correct. The payout for each valid combination is calculated separately; losses in some legs reduce but do not automatically void the entire stake.
  • Banker bets: A component of a system or accumulator that must win for the overall bet to be successful. Customers typically select a banker they consider high probability; if the banker loses, the system bet may fail even if other legs win.
  • Jackpot/Promo bets: Fixed or promotional wager structures that may have distinct settlement rules published at the time of the offer. Jackpots settle according to the specific game or event mechanics and the published terms for the promotion.

Settlement and Market Verifications

  • All markets are settled on the official result available at the end of the relevant regular playing time or as defined in the market terms. In football/soccer, this typically excludes extra time and penalty shootouts unless the market specifies otherwise.
  • VAR decisions, disciplinary outcomes, and post‑event authorities’ rulings may lead to adjustments; settlements reflect the final official decision as of the time the result is published.
  • If a market cannot be verified officially, or if the outcome is clearly mispriced or displayed, Spinz may void the market and return the stake. If a market is opened when the outcome has already been verified, it may be voided.
  • In cases where a match is interrupted, abandoned, or not completed within a defined window, unsettled bets may be voided unless the market has been unconditionally determined by the time of the interruption.
  • Where a discrepancy exists between venue, team names, or match details from different sources, Spinz will rely on its internal records or the official competition data to determine settlement.

Soccer/Football Specific Rules

  • End-of-Match results: Market settlement is based on the result at the end of the regulation 90 minutes, including stoppage time, but excluding extra time and penalties unless the market specifies otherwise.
  • Handicaps: European Handicap (EH) markets are integers (e.g., -1, +1). The draw is treated as a separate outcome, not as a cancellation of the handicap. A home team with a -2 handicap wins if it finishes at least three goals ahead; the draw is a distinct outcome unless the market states otherwise.
  • Manager/Player props: If a player listed in a market does not participate, bets on that player are void. If the match is postponed or cancelled, related bets are settled or voided in accordance with the market terms and the time of official confirmation.
  • Dead heats: In markets involving more than one winner, settlements are proportional to the number of winners. Dead heat rules do not apply where a draw is a selectable market outcome.

Horse Racing and Racing Markets

  • General: Bets on racing are settled on a double result basis unless the terms specify otherwise. Ante-post bets reflect the price and place terms applicable at acceptance.
  • Official Result: Settlement uses the official result published by the relevant authorities. If weights or declarations change on appeal, such amendments are applied to settlement as specified in the Double Result concession where applicable.
  • Double Result concession: If a horse finishes First Past the Post but is subsequently promoted or moved to a place through a Stewards’ Inquiry announced before the weigh-in, payout is adjusted in the customer’s favour where indicated by the market terms.
  • Exceptions: Where terms specify otherwise, or where there is a late determination affecting finish positions after settlement, the concession or adjustment will follow the published conditions for that market.

Abandonment, Interruption and Postponement

  • If a match or event is not completed within the standard time window or is postponed beyond 48 hours after the originally scheduled start, unsettled bets on markets related to that event are void unless the market has already been unconditionally determined.
  • Markets created prior to a venue change or significant alteration to the event shall be settled according to the home team designation and the event’s official result in the revised context, if applicable.

Dead Heat and Shared Outcomes

  • Dead heat settlements are calculated by dividing the stake proportionally among the winners and applying the applicable odds to each portion. In two-way dead heats, the stake is divided by two; in three-way dead heats, by three, with each portion adjusted by its odds.
  • Where a market includes a draw as a selectable outcome, standard dead heat rules do not apply to that scenario; the market’s draw outcome remains a separate settlement path.

General Void and Correction Rules

  • Spinz reserves the right to void, suspend, or correct any market, odds, or settlement in the event of incorrect display, erroneous pricing, or failure of feed integrity, or where an event is not conducted according to the stated format. Corrective actions are applied to settled and unsettled bets as appropriate.
  • When a bet is settled incorrectly due to a system error, Spinz will rectify the settlement, including voiding affected bets or re-settling the market, in accordance with the corrective action policy in force at that time.

Promotions, Bonus Policy and Compliance

Promotions and bonus offers are subject to separate terms. Where a bonus is awarded, its use is governed by the Bonus Policy. Spinz may apply wagering requirements, cap bonuses, or suspend a bonus if it is abused or if there is suspected fraud or a breach of these sportsbook rules. Compliance with age, identity, and geographic restrictions is required for all customers; betting rights are contingent on satisfying licensing and regulatory obligations.

Disputes and Governing Law

All disputes arising from bets, settlements, or account activity shall first be addressed through Spinz’s internal resolution process. If unresolved, disputes may be directed to the competent regulatory authority under the applicable licensing regime. The governing law for these rules is the law of the licensing jurisdiction as published by Spinz, with interpretation conducted in good faith consistent with the objective of fair play and consumer protection.

Miscellaneous

  • Spinz may suspend or modify markets during events due to technical issues, regulatory changes, or exceptional circumstances. Customers will be notified where feasible, and settlements will be made in accordance with the terms in force at the time of the suspension or modification.
  • These rules are written to ensure transparent and predictable betting outcomes while reflecting common industry practice as observed across sports betting operators. Where a term is inconsistent with current regulatory guidance, the guidance prevails to the extent required by law.
